Pony Marathon!

Hey, all!

As discussed in the meeting, there are plans to have a pony marathon where we watch all of the episodes.  Due to the number of episodes, it would have to take place over at least a 25 hour or so period.  For those of sturdy constitution and heart that are willing to partake, what would the best time period be?  The two top ideas thrown around today were Labor Day weekend and later in the year.  More specifically, much closer to the season 4 premiere date.  Votes and other ideas are very much appreciated!

My vote goes to season four premier

Either one of those would work for me. But if we did decide to wait until the season four premier, we could do 3 days leading up to it, with a season per day, that way we could have time to sleep, lol.

I'd prefer to do it closer to season 4, but that does leave concern of getting in the way of exams. Also, I like doing it all at once instead of spacing it out by season. After all, it's not a marathon if you don't do it all at once~

Should keep in mind that Season 4 premieres during Thanksgiving Break, and typically the week before and after that gets relatively busy. I think our best bet is either during Fall Break or next weekend.

Plans have changed for me, so I will be available this weekend. If it is this week, I have a set of speakers I can bring if we are in the small room in the basement of Tarkington again, though I'd rather it be somewhere else. Fall break though, I am not certain about my plans yet, and I'd rather not do it close to finals because finals...

Also, Frozen Raine, your icon is quite obnoxious. I approve.

My vote is still for Labor Day weekend. The further we get into the year, the more out of sync everyone's classes will be, making it more likely to conflict with schedules later. Not to mention the difficulty of work increasing...

I've heard some rumbling of complaint about the day the marathon should happen. As such, I have decided to open suggestions once again. This will be the last chance to offer a satisfactory date. If one is not presented that people agree with, then we will stick with the initial idea. So please make your ideas known by adding it to this forum or on the Facebook page!

I'm down for October break right now, if nothing out of the ordinary happens. But I'd be happy with any other time as long as its a weekend, or the premiere.

The marathon will take place this Friday (October 4, 2013).  There will be a pre-marathon dinner at 5:30.  From there (around 6:45-7:00), we will migrate to one of the media rooms on the north side of Tarkington.  Most likely it will be the Shark Tank.  The entire marathon will take almost an entire 24 hours, so come prepared for the event!  Here are some suggestions for things to think about as suggested by other members of the group:  

- Take a shower, we'll be there a while
- may want to bring a toothbrush
- Pillows/computers might be a good idea
- Bring money! Could order food or something
- Pizza will be made if 2 pizza pans are brought
