MLP CCG in Lafayette!

Hey Purdue Bronies my name is Chris and I just wanted to let you guys know of the MLP CCG community here in Lafayette.

If any of you already play the game or are interested in learning to play please come on down to Legendary Games on Sundays at 1:00 pm.

We have tournaments whenever we get enough people in constructed and sealed.

Do you support casual play or any special formats like Chaos is Magic?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by casual but we play every week whether there is a tournament or not.

As for Chaos is magic, we haven't tried it yet and I would have to talk to the store owners about it.
It would be kinda hard to implement like it was at gencon or anything like that so probably not.

I do not have any card above a Rare rating, therefore I am forced to play pauper decks. I'm just looking for a good LGS to hang out at. I'll pop by down this Sunday to take a look.

As far as I know most of the players that show up usually don't have anything that would be a huge threat like ballroom blitz or really annoying like one pace. Many weeks we don't get enough people yet to play in tournaments so its almost all casuals.

I wouldn't be worried lol.

Hey man, I showed up at Legendary today but no one was there.

What time did you show up? I was there from one to two and the other two regulars couldn't make it so I left around 2.

Lol. I showed up at 2. I missed the bus that would have got me there at 1. Sunday buses run on the hour...

Well I will be at Legendary Games around 6 tomorrow but it will be just me for mlp. So if you want to come down and play casuals feel free.

I only have 2 classes tomorrow so I probably can make it. I might have to skip dinner in the dining courts though. How long do you normally play?

oh probably a hour or two. it will be just me for mlp tomorrow though. Usually sunday is the day people show up. So take that as you will.

Just give me a rough estimate when you think you want to come on over and ill be sure to be there at that time lol.

7:30 would be a more preferable time for me. If its not convenient, I'll be there at 6.
A couple of hours of play is good for me, as long as I don't miss the buses back to campus.
Slightly off topic: do you have a bunch of spare uncommons that I can loan/buy/trade from you? I got a few holes I need to plug in my sets.

7:30 should be fine. And ill bring my spares
I should have damn near anything you need in terms of uncommons and commons.

I've got another thing going on Sundays at 1 pm. do you ever meet at other times. I'm also curious why you don't meet at Castle Comics any more.

Unfortunately to my knowledge nobody else meets up besides the 1pm slot. Legendary also hold MLP at 6:30 on mondays, but every time I have went at that time nobody shows up.

I know there used to be a group that went to castle comics, but last I heard most of them have either quit or are doing something else.

I haven't been to castle myself in quite a long time so i'm not sure if people still show up there.

Every other Monday, I go to the Doctor Who club on campus. But this upcoming Monday (the 29th) I can make it to play MLP CCG.

Okay but like I said, as far as I know nobody shows up on Mondays. I cannot make it on mondays myself.

Oh, if nobody is going to be there, then I guess there's no point in me showing up.

Darn. I was hoping to get in a game or three.

Are there any other times/days that might work for you both?

I'm free on some Saturday evenings, and on Mondays and Wednesday evenings.
