Magical Mystery Cure --- AKA the Princess Coronation.

Marathon starts at 6 AM.

Of all the marathon commercial breaks this is by far the worst one they have done.


Less underwhelming than the opening, but still underwhelming. Overloaded with songs. and I fell like the song at the beginning and end was just trying to tell bronies not to freak out.

I feel like the writers knew this was not what we wanted and did the best they could to try and keep the episode from being to extreme because that could have caused large panic.

That episode was nowhere near as bad as everyone was predicting.
Did they suddenly decide to turn the show into a musical while nobody was watching? I counted 6 songs.
I love how the first and the last songs were "everything is going to be fine."

Yeah far too many songs. Probably trying to make up for the lack of music in the rest of the season.

Seriously, that episode just felt like the writers didn't fully put their all into it where it needed to go. The episode was good, but it seemed rushed, worse that keep calm and flutter on. The overall overuse of songs wouldn't have been as bad in a longer 2 part episode. Again I must say that the one song felt like it's whole purpose was specifically to make people feel like everything is going to be fine and keep the rage to a minimum.

I like how the Library seems to have moved away from Canterlot to look like it's own Castle. At least I assume that was the library.

The episode seemed like it was intended as a series Finale not a Season Finale.

EDIT:2 Apparently there was Derpy at the end of the episode waiting for a Youtube upload to check on it. Derpy was in the episode.

I have to say that for a season finale with an extremely hard to explain, forced ending and only a single episode slot to do it in I feel like this was actually pretty decent. Though there was an overabundance of songs, I liked a lot of them, and the visual effects with the alternate-plane hall of memories, various dynamic shots, and the eye-scrolling, memory things were all greatly done. I'm not disappointed with anyone except Hasbro for forcing this ending.

Songs are a mechanic to tell a lot of plot in a short amount of time, and they had a lot to explain in 20 mins so hence, asston of songs
